THIS CLOCK WAS A RESTORATION PROJECT FOR A CLIENT, AND IS NOT FOR SALE.
This clock was offered to me for sale by a lady who said she had had it repaired several times, but the clock wouldn't run. She was very frustrated, and decided to sell it. I talked her out of selling the clock, because it is a little unusual, and very attractive, and I assured her I could restore the movement to its original running condition.
The clock case was in very good condition, and really needed little attention, other than resetting the door hinges.
The movement was sound, but it needed cleaning, and the pivots badly needed polishing. However, once I was "in there," I couldn't resist polishing all the wheels, straps, levers, etc., so that while probably no one except the next repairman will ever see the movement, it is really quite beautiful, and hopefully that repairman will admire my workmanship.
Please note that the accompanying movement photos without the bell are "B4," and the photos with the bell are of the movement after restoration.
