This nice little clock bears sn 567996-43 and is from around 1890. It is completely original, and in excellent condition.

The movement is slide-mounted on a cast bronze backboard fixture, with the pendulum suspended from the backplate. The movement is clean, and runs perfectly. Striking is controlled by a count-wheel mechanism, on a coiled gong, with a very nice deep tone.

The two-piece porcelain dial is perfect; no scratches or chips, and the bezels are original.

The walnut case is perfect; no marks, scratches, and the original finish is flawless. This clock has always had very good care. The finials are original.

Clocks like this are not hard to find, but almost never in condition this good.
